The restaurant started in 2004 with Romário and a partner with the proposal to be a popular food restaurant. Being himself the cook. He, who had never taken gastronomic courses, used only the knowledge acquired from his grandmother, Dona Jovelina, who had a pension. And since he was a boy, he helped his grandmother to make delicacies. So he learned how to cook in a simple way.
Every day, as usual, he had a different dish for the option of the day. On a certain day, a client arrived and asked Romário if he would not make any dish with shrimp and soon, he replied that the next day he would. So, Romário spoke to a friend, who owned a famous Japanese restaurant, if he could bring a few pounds of shrimp from the São Pedro market in Niterói to make the next day's dish. And so he did. The other day, when that customer arrived, the day dish was shrimp and catupiry. And it was the dish that sold the most. Next week, Romário ordered more shrimp and made a Shrimp Risotto, which again was the dish that sold the most. So, he had an insight at that moment, called his partner and proposed that they should specialize in seafood, bearing in mind that in the city there were no restaurants specializing in this. Over time, the results have been showing up and increasingly working. Romario and his partner went down to Niterói on Thursdays and bought more and more shrimp.
