Salzburgo . Salzburgo (estado) . Áustria

The official museum of the Cathedral of Salzburg (Dom).
The Cathedral Museum is located in Salzburg Cathedral's oratories. These magnificent rooms with their baroque decor overlooking the city and the cathedral are already worth the visit.

Artifacts spanning the Cathedral's 1300-year history, including medieval sculptures, baroque paintings and goldsmith's art from the Cathedral treasure are on display at the Cathedral Museum. The main attractions include the ancient eucharistic dove and the precious jewel-studded monstrance. St. Rupert's crosier from the 8th century is the oldest exhibit – and one of the oldest occidental reliquaries in the collection. The extensive artifacts dating from Salzburg's Baroque Era include works by Georg Raphael Donner, Johann Michael Rottmayr and Paul Troger.

Cathedral treasure, art from the Salzburg archdiocese from the Middle Ages to the present time; Art and Curiosity Chamber. Long Gallery of St. Peter's Abbey.
