In het bisdom Brugge is het Grootseminarie het diocesaan huis voor de opleiding en permanente vorming van de bedienaars van de eredienst: diocesane priesters, permanente diakens en parochie-assistenten. Daarnaast fungeert het Grootseminarie voor een breed publiek als een centrum voor christelijk vormingswerk op het vlak van theologie, spiritualiteit en pastoraal.
