| Le Val Joyeux campsite in Château la Vallière lies near a lake on the road to Bourgueil and Chinon, as you leave the town. This little settlement surrounded by ancient oak woodland offers peaceful, colourful holidays to tourists in a natural environment perfect for exploring TOURAINE. This is an ideal base for setting out to visit the Loire châteaux, such as VILLANDRY, AZAY LE RIDEAU, LANGEAIS, USSE, CHINON, SAUMUR and GIZEUX. It’s the recommended place to stay for going to the Zoo de la FLECHE, Musée DUFRESNE, Grottes de Savonnière, wine cellars (Bourgueil, Chinon, Vouvray, etc.) or hopping on the RILLE steam train. And above all it’s where the whole family can come and relax, with a beach, swimming, fishing, walks, outings and cycle rides (the LOIRE A VELO cycle path is a stone’s throw away).
